Kasia Szymanska & Siobhain O'Riordan The time has come to hang up my boots as Editor of The Coaching Psychologist and move on. This issue was co-edited together with Siobhain O’Riordan who has now taken on the role of Acting Editor. In this editorial, my last one, I would like to thank all the Consulting Editors and members of the European Editorial Advisory Board for their contributions and support. Likewise my thanks go to all at the British Psychological Society who are involved in the production of The Coaching Psychologist and in particular Martin Reeves who typesets The Coaching Psychologist. Finally my thanks go the SGCP committee members and all the contributors, who have made The Coaching Psychologist what it is today, a publication which reflects the diversity and wealth of coaching psychology practice and theory. Adiéu. Kasia Szymanska
I have enjoyed the opportunity to step into the role of Acting Co-Editor of The Coaching Psychologist until a permanent Editor is in post. I do hope that I am able to contribute to the ongoing development and reputation of this important publication in the coaching psychology literature. This issue provides a wealth of interesting articles on topics such as Coaching ethics and Rational Coaching together with a number of papers presented at the 1st European Coaching Psychology Conference including Coaching the narcissist, Creating an emotionally intelligent organisation and Achieving effective supervision for coaching psychologists. To encourage discussion around the way in which research informs the practice of coaching psychology we have also included a new addition to The Coaching Psychologist the ‘Coaching Psychology in Action’ section. Kasia Szymanska also writes about Anxiety and the Coaching Relationship in the ‘Coaching Psychology and Clinical Disorders’ section. Finally Jennifer Liston-Smith rounds off this issue by sharing her in-depth report Highlighting the Psychology in Coaching about the 1st European Coaching Psychology Conference, hosted by the SGCP in December 2008.
