Ho Law

On introducing ethical aspects into The Coaching Psychologist, I mentioned that ethics in Coaching Psychology relate to two key questions:

  • What form should ethical thinking take?
  • What is the impact of ethical principles on the practice of coaching psychology?

The answers to the above questions can have important implications on the way we define and practise coaching psychology (Law, 2005). During our second Annual Conference in December 2005, we conducted a workshop that aimed to engage participants to explore the above questions further. As discussed during the workshop, we felt that it would be useful to document this discussion for The Coaching Psychologist, so as to raise awareness and share our knowledge and experience. The workshop took an informal participatory format. This paper summarises the key points of the discussion.
