Unlocking psychological health: Unconditional self-acceptanceKasia Szymanska One of the key premises in Multimodal Coaching and Rational Emotive Behavioural Coaching (REBC) is unconditional self-acceptance (Dryden & Yankura, 1992; Dryden & Ellis, 1997; Lazarus, 1977; Palmer, 2009; and Wilding & Palmer, 2010). Unlike in Cognitive Behavioural Coaching (CBC) where the emphasis is more on identifying and improving low self-esteem, in REBC the emphasis focuses on self and other acceptance.
