Volunteers required to assist with organising networking events and increasing PR activities
We are looking for willing volunteers to assist us in organising and running our new networking events programme. Our first evening networking event is taking place in London on 23rd July (now fully booked). This 'Sharing the Knowledge' event involves an interactive presentation by Max Blumberg, group discussions, and a chance to mingle. We have another event planned in London for later in the year, and also anticipate the running of these events on a more national basis.
Networking volunteer activities include; sourcing speakers, securing venues, advertising the events, organising refreshments, facilitating on the evening of the event.
We are also looking for a volunteer to assist the current SGCP PR Officer in increasing media coverage for the SGCP. This will involve securing interviews with journalists, issuing press releases, organising radio interviews, etc. Experience in PR activities and dealing with journalists is preferred.
